I was once referred to as "Miss Thing" while wearing these earrings (and I think I was wearing sunglasses too). It was somewhere mid-2009. I thought of it because I wore these earrings today. I prefer my more recent moniker, "The It Girl." I think that fits me better. But I'm still partial to "The Hottest Nerd In The World."
